We design and quickly mainstream field-tested civic engagement innovations with and for nonprofits that amplify the power of historically disenfranchised communities.
Our organization was born in the wake of the 2016 election as a grassroots, volunteer-led initiative. From 2016 to 2020, our work focused singularly on designing and quickly mainstreaming field-tested voter engagement innovations that spark non-activists to mobilize their friends to vote. We succeeded in developing and quickly mainstreaming a suite of elegant, user-friendly, and non-proprietary innovations that RCTs suggest yielded over 15,000 net votes in historically disenfranchised communities.
We are in the process of further developing our Research team and bringing in a dedicated design/UX researcher as we refine and further scale our other vote tripling tactics. Into 2022, we’re exploring how we can make our innovations easier for canvassers to implement and yield the greatest impact. We also want to optimize our engagement and impact through design of SMS vote tripling across bilingual and non-English communities.
Cultivate people. We cultivate and invest in our most precious resource: our people. Without our team, our mission would be impossible, and a lot less fun to pursue.
Yoda, we are. We seek to provide innovations – and the resources necessary to implement them – to our partners and voters, who are the true heroes of this work.
Problem-oriented, solution-agnostic. We tackle problems that seem insurmountable. We question ourselves and revisit our hypotheses until we find – and improve upon – the right solution.
Pursue equity. Our mission is to drive toward a more equitable society that dismantles systems of oppression and white supremacy. We strive to create inclusive spaces and processes that honor diverse experiences.
Cross-pollinate. We build smart, elegant innovations by creating through-lines across disciplines. Our innovations improve with each implementation, as we learn from and share out our partners’ insights.
VoteTripling.org works closely with nonprofits that amplify the power of historically marginalized communities. Our partners include MoveOn, Planned Parenthood, and Vote.org, and we are committed to continuing to refine our field-tested vote engagement innovations to support the community-driven initiatives of BIPOC, LGBTQI+, and disabled people, as well as other disenfranchised groups. We are dedicated to creating an organization that reflects the diversity of the country we serve. We strongly encourage women, people of color, and others who are underrepresented in campaigns to apply.
Additionally, we are working closely with a DEI consultant to audit our organizations’ traditions and ways of working. We hope to uncover “unknown unknowns” in the way we consider diversity, anti-racism, and intersectionality in our organization, and are excited to implement their recommendations.
