OVERVIEW

The next chapter of Automox is just beginning and we are looking to bring on a few key positions to help accelerate the incredible work already underway. We are looking for a Staff level software engineer who enjoys the complexity of an API driven architecture, to bring their years of experience to influence and help lead the development of Automox’s endpoint management solution.
As a Sr. Staff Engineer at Automox you will be a technical leader on the team. You’ll have fun working closely with a diverse team of Engineering Managers, Architects, and Product leaders to understand our customers and the market, to design solutions that customers are excited to use and tell others about. You will work across multiple teams and services with a special focus on our frontend API architecture, and will have the opportunity to not only do hands-on coding but also help mentor and develop other engineers on strong engineering practices and design principles.  This is a great opportunity for someone who’s not afraid of changes that come with a startup and is excited about making a big impact on the security of companies around the world.

What you'll be doing:

  • You’ll be doing what you love: Designing, Building, Testing, and Releasing simple elegant software that customers can start getting value from day 1.
  • You’ll work on a team with other passionate engineers, designers, product managers, and program managers to deliver quality software often and with a sense of urgency.
  • Day to day you’ll bring your expertise in scaling cloud native solutions to mentor and develop other engineers on best practices, and help develop some of the most complex solutions across our platform.
  • Working in an iterative SDLC. We’re not dogmatic about one methodology or another, but we do work in 2 week sprint cycles with a focus on daily delivery of high quality code in a devops culture.
  • Hands on coding using modern languages and frameworks in an AWS environment. We have a mix of Java (Spring), PHP, Go and Vue.js.

What you bring to the table:

  • Experience developing complex code and algorithms across multiple products or services in an API led architecture.
  • 10+ years of experience coding in a variety of languages and frameworks with a focus on best in class development practices.
  • Passion for mentoring and developing a team of diverse engineers, ensuring an inclusive culture where everyone’s voices, backgrounds, and experiences are valued and integrated into solutions.
  • Demonstrated history of delivering enterprise level software in an agile environment with a distributed team that works across multiple time zones.
  • Knack for solving challenging problems both on the team and outside of the team, and you can do it with levity and humor.
COMPENSATION
Colorado applicants: The minimum annual salary for this role is $160,000. Base pay is part of a rich total compensation package and is included for demonstrative purposes only.
