Job summary

The End User Computing market is growing at an incredible pace with a rapid increase in adoption and growth. Within End User Computing, AWS AppStream provides a fully managed Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) solution that enables end users to access applications and desktops from anywhere on any device while data remains secure. We are looking to revolutionize End User Computing space by launching multiple new initiatives this year.

We offer a unique opportunity to solve some of the most interesting problems associated with providing secure, reliable, fast and highly scalable solutions. In the process you will have the opportunity to work on a number of industry leading AWS services including EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Kinesis, Step Functions, Lambda and SWF. You will also have the opportunity to own and shape the growth of multiple new components and features, thus providing you the opportunity to accelerate your learning and career growth while continuing to work on exciting technologies.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager on our team, you will drive important cross team initiatives to develop next generation AppStream solutions by working closely with senior technical leaders within the team and across AWS. You will collaborate and influence across multiple development teams to design, develop, test, and deploy secure, scalable services. You will work on highly visible projects and collaborate closely with product owners, engineering leaders, and leadership across the company. You’ll drive a culture that values operational excellence, security, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

You will have significant influence on our overall product strategy by helping define the features, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of technical program management experience in a related industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to present in large groups and handle high-pressure communication
  • Experience with managing large cross-functional project
  • Thorough understanding of software development lifecycle from conception to delivery

Preferred Qualifications

  • Significant technical depth and understanding of distributed systems and engineering best practices
  • Experience building VDI solutions.
  • Experience building fully managed, cloud native products
  • Experience building client applications
  • Experience with large scale web services
  • Management of large scale enterprise applications
