BAE Systems is looking for a Senior Test Design Engineer for our CEMA Integrated Test Engineering (ITE) organization in Nashua, NH.

Responsibilities:

  • The Senior Test Design Engineer will participate on a team of Test Design engineers to design, develop, and deploy Test Solutions, to include Test Stations and Test Programs Sets (TPS) consisting of both hardware and software products. A TPSs test, diagnose, and repair field able equipment. The Test Solution designs cover wide ranges of technologies, equipment, and approaches and will offer an interesting, challenging, and rewarding career opportunity.
  • Test Engineering positions provide development in a broad range of technical domains. The individual will participate in up-front program engagement activities, including strategy and planning, Design For Testability (DFT), Test Program Set design (software and/or hardware), integration, debug, verification, validation, sell-off, and support.
  • The position also includes collaboration on continuous improvement initiatives with peers, as well as Operations counterparts, to establish and refine test development practices and approaches for the department. Examples include; common architectures, design for reuse, DFT, standard tools, & standard approaches.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • BS Degree in Engineering with at least 4 years of work experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Experienced in C and/or CVI, software build environments and skilled in software debug (test software preferred)
  • Takes initiative and has a closure-oriented nature. Possess good communication skills including interpersonal communication and team communication

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Experience with Test Software development and /or integration
  • Experienced writing test code to support digital, RF or optical testing
  • Experience in systems analysis of test requirements and solution implementations.
  • Experienced in Boundary Scan Test Development
  • Experienced in using RF test instrumentation (Network Analyzer, Signal Analyzers, Signal Generators, etc.)
  • Experience using NI LabWindows and TestStand
  • Experience in factory production test stands, problem isolation and resolution.
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems and drivers
