Senior IT Auditor- Continuous Process Monitoring (CPM)

Under minimal direction, the Continuous Process Monitoring (CPM) IT Senior Specialist will design and implement checklists in order to provide key stakeholders in the Program, a set of principles to be followed in an effort to ensure consistency in controls across the program. The role will serve as a primary driver to ensuring that a formal and standardized change management process is followed to manage the changes that are identified throughout the life of the CPM program. Drives the monitoring of the CPM program on a continuous basis in an effort to ensure effective operation of the program, and recommends processes and/or tools for program improvements. Communication throughout the IT CPM program is paramount to the success of this role. This role will be responsible for devising formal plans to assist in the communication between stakeholders, determine change management needs and define the right behaviors for effective program management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serves as a primary driver of the communication of IT CPM change management processes and project management. Develops a systematic methodology for communicating results to ensure that key personnel are informed and can provide feedback.
  • Ensures Program checklists are aligned to CNA controls and governance standards. This includes ensuring that members of the Checklist Execution Team receive the appropriate communication and messaging to address appropriate information and skill requirements. Makes recommendations accordingly.
  • Proactively provides content associated with the communication, education, and awareness of policies, standards, control procedures and IT Operational responsibilities across our organization. Responds to needs and feedback accordingly.
  • Communicates and monitors roles and responsibilities of the Checklist execution team, as well as expectations.
  • Ensures Process Owners, Sub-Process Owners and Control Owners comply with IT CPM Program policies and procedures. Detects issues related to the operation of in-scope controls to ensure the effective operation or IT processes and controls for audit purposes.
  • Implements standardized control reporting methodology to allow for the easily interpreted communication of results. Is a primary go-to should issues arise.
  • Owns the reporting strategy and dashboard. Ensures key metrics are reported and clearly communicated. Interprets results, and changes or correlations from previous reporting periods; identifies metric trends and develops go-forward processes and solutions.
  • Improves technology and processes to allow for more frequent monitoring of correlations and metric trends; updates reporting methodology as necessary.
  • Develops remediation action plans to enable IT Controls & Quality Governance Team to provide attestation of CPM Program Compliance; also responsible for reporting of common control procedures and effectiveness.
  • Consolidates executive management reporting performed on a periodic basis.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • n-depth experience safeguarding data and report control failures to ensure quality controls and procedures. Strong experience successfully coordinating business and technical resources under projects plans to ensure the alignment of resources. Strong ability to work within significant limits of authority on assignments requiring technical complexity and confirmation, with minimal guidance. May take a new perspective on existing solutions. Strong sense of urgency based on assignments as well as strong ability to prioritize. Solid understanding of IT data controls operating model and necessary checklist execution and data aggregation. Solid Knowledge and experience with IT CPM Change management process and ensuring systems and processes are fully functional and in compliance with applicable laws. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively and foster teamwork with peers, project teams, and other functional areas inside and outside of IT. Strong ability to make informed and strategic decisions related to CPM program execution. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and other business-related software systems.

Reporting Relationship

  • Typically reports to Director or above.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline, or related work experience. Advanced degree preferred.

Typically a minimum of five to seven years of related experience managing methodologies and controls to establish governance standards of the CPM program.
