The Role

As our Corporate Controller, you will be a key leader for the financial operations of our rapidly growing company. This role is responsible for providing technical accounting expertise, improvement of financial processes, and development of a strong accounting team. You must be a hands-on, roll up your sleeves type of manager and should enjoy a fast-paced, start-up environment. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer.


  • Own all of accounting, including revenue recognition, general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, taxes, treasury services, and consolidation
  • Develop, lead, and build a top tier team that proactively drives process automation and works with a collaborative mentality
  • Be the internal expert to advise on accounting impacts and resolve all GAAP and technical accounting issues
  • Provide leadership on/to global shared services
  • Ownership and oversight for International accounting requirements
  • Develop accounting systems and infrastructure to scale with business growth
  • Manage the relationship with external auditors and consultants
  • Develops policies & procedures to ensure proper internal controls while improving operational efficiency
  • Partner with the CFO and legal team on company governance activities, including corporate insurance, subsidiary management, and equity administration


  • 10 to 12 years of progressive experience, with a public / private company
  • CPA license (active status) preferred
  • Experience with a multi-national corporation; working with legal entities outside of the US required; SaaS/SW subscription experience a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and key principles of application for a wide array of finance and accounting areas; experience with ASC606 evaluation and adoption a plus.
  • Outstanding analytical skills, combined with solid business judgment and communication skills
  • Modern process and tool thinking, specifically working with SaaS financial and accounting technology and robotic automation
  • Advanced MS Excel and data management skills are critical; experience with Sage Intacct and SFDC a plus
  • Consistent track record of successfully motivating, developing, and helping people reach their full potential
  • Flexible and creative, with ability to learn new and complex concepts quickly. Relentlessly resourceful and diligent
  • Strategic perspective – ability to integrate finance, business, human resources and legal perspectives into accounting and other decision-making in the company
  • Exceptional work ethic – ability to “roll up sleeves”
  • IPO experience a bonus
