About this Role:
We are looking for a technical and experienced Data Analyst to join our Data Team. Data is key to Hearth for informing product decisions, optimizing operations and guiding company strategy. This team member will partner closely with and have opportunities to work on high impact projects that span across many departments. As one of the key Data Analysts to the Data Team, you will help define key business, performance metrics and own areas of data including operational and product analytics.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Leverage data to understand users and their product usage, developing insights that apply to product, marketing, and business strategy
- Work with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Rev Ops, and Finance teams to identify important questions around how to define key metrics
- Establish and manage KPIs that measure the health of the business, product performance, and customer experience quality
- Create reporting, visualizations, and dashboards to guide and monitor our business and allow team members to take action quickly
- Develop frameworks, tools, and best practices to apply data insights towards business questions
- Analyze experiment data, communicate results, and drive decisions
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Solid analytical foundation; you have a good understanding of product and business metrics, knowledge of statistical methods
- Fluency in SQL and some experience with either Python or R
- Comfortable manipulating and analyzing very large data sets with high dimensionality and complexity
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Mode, Looker, dbt, etc.
- Strong attention to detail; your analyses are always high quality, accurate, and easy to understand
- You have a scrappy get things done mentality, and the ability to work in a self-guided manner
- Strong communicator; you can crisply communicate actionable data-driven insights to all audiences
- An interest or some experience in data science and machine learning is a plus!
- Experience in leading experimentations (A/B testing) is also a plus!
- 1-3+ years of relevant work experience in a quantitative or analytical role at a SaaS or technology company
