The Sell and Order Experience team’s goal is to modernize how LinkedIn sells products and delight our customers during the purchasing experience. We will accomplish this by building highly accurate, scalable systems for Opportunity management, Quoting, Pricing, Compensation calculation and Ordering, and these systems will serve our customers through both field sales and online purchasing channels. Our platform is currently responsible for $3 billion annual sales with a healthy upward growth trajectory. Responsibilities:

  • You will build products to help our customers to self serve by purchasing products online without a rep's assistance; bring online and field experience closer together.
  • You will build a pricing engine to more accurately price our products based on multiple dimensions of input data, provide dynamics promotions and discretionary discounts.
  • You will build an approval engine and workflow management system to execute business processes and policies.
  • You will create a system to streamline product go to market at LinkedIn.
  • You will launch a data driven and highly configurable application for the Quoting experience.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years experience in software design and development.
  • 2+ years experience programming experience in Java, Python, or C/C++.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS and 5+ years of relevant work experience, MS and 4+ years of relevant work experience, or PhD and 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience building distributed, Internet-scale systems driving data solutions based on technologies such as Kafka, Samza or other open source technologies.
  • Thorough knowledge of multi-threading, concurrency, and parallel processing technologies.
  • 2+ years industry experience in commerce.
