The Product Catalog team’s goal is to provide a single pane of glass for self-served and streamlined product lifecycle management for all stakeholders. We will accomplish this by building highly available and scalable systems that will serve our customers through both field sales and online purchasing channels.

As the Engineering Manager, you will be working with your team to build the product catalog from scratch as part of the LinkedIn Business Platform. You will be a key driver in designing its roadmap and be responsible for delivering critical features supporting the roadmap.



  • You will lead and manage the engineering team with a passion for mentoring and growing top engineering talent.
  • You will develop a long-term technology roadmap for the team, socialize them with stakeholders and drive execution of various solutions by collaborating with cross functional teams in product, engineering, siteops, and finance.
  • As a hands-on manager, you will participate in key technical and design discussions with technical leads in the team. You will provide technical leadership by driving and performing best engineering practices to initiate, plan, and execute large-scale, cross functional critical programs.
  • You will be a role model and professional coach for engineers with a strong bias for action and focus on craftsmanship.
  • You will identify, leverage, and successfully evangelize opportunities to improve engineering productivity.
  • You will work with peers across teams to support and leverage a shared technical stack.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science or related field with relevant engineering work experience
  • 1+ years of hands-on technical management experience.
  • 5+ years of programming experience in building and running large scale distributed systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong management skills for planning and executing complex multi-team projects.
  • Effective management of many stakeholders with differing needs.
  • Experience building scalable products on top of distributed systems.
  • Strong communication skills and customer focus to enable sharing outcomes through written communication, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
  • Track record of recruiting and growing top talent.
