As a Sr. Staff Cloud Security Architect, you will own the end to end security design of our Cloud footprint; multi-cloud and hybrid (onprem / cloud). You will have a keen focus on solving business problems by designing well architected, secure, scalable, and extensible solutions. You will be the technical lead and coordinate the work of an integrated project team composed of multiple technical disciplines; including domain architects, solutions architects, and subject matter experts to ensure functional, security, and architectural tradeoffs are addressed. You must influence and drive architectural decisions and implementation across the engineering organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship as we design and deploy workloads in the cloud.
  • Own the end-to-end security architecture for cloud solutions involving multiple public cloud stacks (e.g. AWS, Azure) and hybrid cloud deployments.
  • Develop and document system security reference architectures, design patterns, roadmaps, and other architectural artifacts in collaboration with other security architects.
  • Be the subject matter expert on current and emerging topics related to cloud security architecture, design and implementation.
  • Perform security design review of systems of distributed systems.
  • Collaborate closely with technology partners across the company to gain consensus and implement change.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in system security, at scale, with at least 2+ years in a cloud architecture position.
  • Experience with Azure and cloud-based development and security management in IaaS, PaaS and SaaS environments.
  • Proven expertise in threat modeling and secure architecture reviews.
  • Experience in applying security to cloud technologies (Data Encryption, Securing CI/CD pipeline, Secure Infrastructure as Code, Container Security, IAM).
  • Experience presenting security risks to a wide variety of audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years experience in information security and software engineering.
  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems and client-server architectures.
  • Experience in large scale enterprise cloud migration from ideation to completion.
