About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager who is a fast learner, a hard worker, has a knack for creative problem-solving and is a low-ego team player. You will join Nacelle’s core development team to develop, build, and maintain new features for our product. You should be comfortable letting your tech leads take true ownership of projects while keeping enough eye on things to make sure the train stays on track.

Responsibilities:
- Advocate for, and execute on our one-on-one, coaching-centric engineering culture
- Reduce cycle time and defect rate
- Work closely with Product and Design to roll out new, high impact solutions
- Recruit and hire world class engineers for your squad
Skills & Qualifications:
- 3+ years as a people manager at a venture backed, fast growing startup
- 3+ years of collaborative experience with recruiting where you build high quality diverse and inclusive teams
- 3+ years working with matrix structured teams and squads
Nice to Have:
- Remote work experience
- Proficiency with at least one modern programming language such as Node, Python, Go, Ruby, PHP
- NoSQL experience with data storage solutions like Cassandra
- AWS, GCP, Azure or similar cloud infrastructure experience
- Experience building web based applications
