• Build and lead high-performing engineering team. Mentor and grow engineers, empower and unblock them
• Contribute to the technical roadmap. Manage the products and features you own
• Develop deep software product knowledge within their team's area of ownership
• Provide technical leadership in the areas of AKS, Service Mesh, Kafka, service registry, service discovery, API management, and configuration management.
• When needed lead technical deep-dive to diagnose code or system design issues
• Be the voice of the platform users by creating a culture of user empathy
• Contribute to establishing and maintaining a secure and well-managed environment in Azure
• Translate requirements into a technical design that best utilizes Azure and complementary technologies
• Nurture a culture of learning, continuous improvement, and blameless retrospection within the org and across the company
• Coordinate & facilitate cross-domain teams communication and resolve technical conflicts

The Essentials In Your Cart - The required ingredients

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 3+ years of leadership roles in software engineering or platform engineering fields
• 8+ years of professional experience in the software engineering or systems engineering fields
• Deep experience with Azure Cloud platform and Azure Devops pipelines
• Deep experience with configuration management tools such as Salt, Ansible or Chef
• Experience with DevOps practices and operating your own systems
• Experience with open source software
• Experience with one or more scripting languages
• You promote openness, diversity of opinions, and inclusive discussions at all times to evaluate a wide variety of ideas and perspectives in solving challenging problems
• Clear decision-making in complex situations
• Stellar written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent soft skills to establish good rapport and working relationships

• Eagerness to learn and work outside your technology comfort zone
• Ability to manage own work time and priorities in accordance with aggressive timelines and budgets
• Able to excel working in an Agile Development environment
