Position Summary:

As a Senior Program Manager you will provide project management through day-to-day leadership and coordination in the areas of client relationships, budget management, schedule planning, and deliverables for major software research, design and development programs. The Senior Program Manager is accountable for ensuring projekt202 delivers to our clients the agreed upon work in a timely manner, on-budget and at the highest levels of quality.  The Senior Program Manager is responsible for ensuring proper leadership reviews are injected into the process to guarantee timely and on-target research, design, development and digital marketing excellence.  This position works closely with other Program Managers, Practice Leads and other key leaders to ensure that the right level of coaching, mentorship and support are in place.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage client-facing projects with budgets of $1 million or greater:
  • Define, create and manage a detailed project plan promoting efficiency and team velocity
  • Manage the complete lifecycle of a project ensuring it completes on-scope, on-time and on-budget
  • Manage the deliverables of 2+ scrum teams (4-9 members each)
  • Drive communications with internal projekt202 team and clients via regular status meetings, key milestone reviews and ad-hoc meetings and escalations as needed
  • Establish clear and enforceable governance and change management processes
  • Maintain up to date and accurate resource bookings, status and updates through projekt202 systems
  • Contribute to writing and reviewing SOWs and change orders as needed
  • Create clear role and responsibility understanding for each projekt202 and client team member to ensure alignment of work tasks, accountability and address key responsibility gaps with projekt202 and client leadership
  • Document all key decisions, scope changes, personnel updates, risks and mitigation plans
  • Participate in internal training, communication, planning and update meetings
  • May be asked to manage or mentor other PMs
  • Build strong, enduring relationships with clients
  • Assist in IP creation and establish best practices for the practice
  • Mentor other p202 employees
  • Partner with the Business Development team to author and execute account strategy
  • Communication
  • Implement an effective escalation process to ensure high quality delivery by addressing concerns, removing obstacles and providing transparent and productive communication
  • Establish strong relationships with the client at multiple levels of the organization to ensure alignment, agreement and support across the companies
  • Create weekly project status report to inform the client and the projekt202 team of the overall health of ongoing programs and projects across key project areas (scope, budget, timeline, risks, change management, etc.)
  • Understand the client’s high level vision as well as the detailed level and clearly articulate both to internal partners
  • Know your audience and choose the appropriate communicate channel to effectively share information

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience managing software development projects
  • Consulting services experience or significant external partner/client management experience
  • Proven, large-scale development program management experience
  • Positive attitude, proactive and helpful
  • A passion for delivering projects to client’s satisfaction
  • Proven understanding and application of best practice project management principles
  • Proven, successful Agile Scrum experience (Advanced Scrum Master or Product Owner certification preferred)
  • Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Understanding of UX design and software development process, methods and rationale
  • Solid analytic and reporting capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Impressive interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate people
  • Sound writing abilities


  • Bachelors in a relevant field of study (i.e. Computer Science, Business, Design, Engineering, Liberal Arts) or proven experience as a Senior Program/Project/Product Manager
