About the Position

Have you ever wanted to build a PC at work? You will be part of the team responsible for adapting Qumulo’s file storage to work with new architectures and writing software to control our commodity hardware components. This includes the latest NVMe drives, new CPU architectures, and networking technologies. You’ll be working hands-on with new server architectures to design, develop, and validate hardware platforms to certify for Qumulo’s file storage software. We’re looking to hire collaborative, adaptable, ever-learning engineers with a diverse set of backgrounds and a passion for technology. On our platforms team, you’ll get to work with the world’s leading hardware companies to build platforms that will impress and delight our customers!

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to new platform development and testing using Python
  • Participate in team processes like stand-ups/reviews/pair programming/etc. and improve them as appropriate
  • Provide input on which hardware servers and components to use when bringing new platforms to market
  • Develop and execute strategies for sustaining hardware in shipped platforms
  • Continuously innovate and polish our hardware selection and validation processes.

Qualifications

  • Facility with scripting languages like Python in a Linux environment
  • Familiarity with system hardware design/test/debug, vendor management, and storage component qualifications.
  • 3+ years experience. We are hiring at multiple levels of seniority.
  • Experience working well in collaborative environments
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
