Senior Technical Product Manager, Performance

We are a startup looking to deeply understand how the humans using the applications to do their work can be improved with changes in how we build and size our solutions.
We need a Technical Product Manager to dig deep into understanding the interactions between how people consume and size our storage. You will own the roadmap on how to continuously improve existing application user experiences and unlock new ones. This is your chance to have a big impact on the growth of our company, by providing clarity and direction to our teams. As an excellent candidate, you have experience in understanding complex systems problems and translating enhancements to impact for your customers. You have worked with or on engineering teams that are solving hard problems. Storage experience is not required, but you’ll need to be fascinated to solve customers’ difficult problems by applying advanced technology like distributed systems on the latest hardware and network technologies.
Responsibilities
- Deeply understand application users needs
- Develop innovative solution ideas with engineering
- Own the roadmap for performance and solution sizing
- Collaborate across the organization to align on which applications to prioritize
- Lead product development efforts as a Product Owner for one or more scrum teams
- Track progress against product goals
- Represent Qumulo with customers and at conferences
Qualifications
- Bachelors in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent relevant work experience
- Minimum of 2 years Product Management experience
- Great at taking complex problems and simplifying them for different audiences
- Knowledge of data center or cloud technologies and a track record of being able to keep up with changes in a fast-moving industry
- Background leading cross-function without authority
- Strong business and analysis skills
- Clear and simple communication style
- Experience as product owner delivering iterative software solutions
