In our Sales Engineer role, you will initially report to our Chief Business Officer (CBO), and be an influential part of our growing sales team. You will support our sales goals by being our technical expert throughout our sales process and ensure that customers have a full and accurate understanding of our products as well as current and anticipated future capabilities. You will also work to understand the prospective customer’s technical constraints and needs. You will work cross-collaboratively with internal teams to maintain your level of knowledge and provide valuable insight and advice to them. You will also ensure that we continue to make the decisions that continue to move us in the right direction. Our company and our sales team is currently beginning to scale and we anticipate a high level of growth, but you would be the first to perform this role and have a strong voice in how the structure of the team and its processes are build out.
This is a FULL-TIME role and can be based in San Francisco or remotely within theUS on an ongoing basis.
What You'll Do:
Prior experience in a technical pre-sales or sales engineering role with hands-on experience with customer evaluations and deployments
Ability to learn complex technical information quickly and effectively communicate it to both tech- and non-tech- savvy audiences
Strong presentation skills and comfort delivering demos to customers, including their executive teams
Good relationship-building skills and ability to gain credibility with and influence customers’ key decision-makers
Aptitude for problem-solving based on available data and thinking outside the box
Ability to work effectively internally across multiple departments, including executive, sales, product, engineering, and customer success
Availability to travel to client sites up to 25-50% of the time
