About the role

Starburst is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Data Products & Governance team, part of the Starburst Enterprise Platform.  Starburst Enterprise adds incredible value on top of open-source Trino, and its Data Products functionality enables data producers and consumers to create, publish, discover, and manage curated datasets.  Our new Built-In Access Control functionality allows administrators to have fine-grained control over what data can be accessed.

  • Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard new engineers

Some things we’ll look for

  • Enthusiasm for growing strong, diverse, high-performing teams

  • At least 3 years of engineering management experience with a total of 8 years or more experience in software engineering
  • Appreciation for maintainable, working, high quality software
  • Demonstrable experience in shipping features and hitting deadlines consistently
  • Familiarity with full-stack enterprise web applications
  • Management of remote or hybrid teams
