The guidance. I’ve been to other Women in Tech events held by other organizations, and after showing up I had no guidance on how to navigate the event/ what I should be taking away from it. The structure of the event, ease of use (application with agenda), and the ways interaction was guided and implemented amongst participants was absolutely amazing. Now going to future events, I have a better understanding of how to network with others and what value I can provide in return to others 🙂

Panel: Parents In Tech; Finding Balance
To many people, one of the most important roles in their lives is that of a parent. Finding the balance between parent and professional is a delicate art that many strive and struggle to master. Hear from other parents in tech as they share their insights, challenges and advice on achieving family/work life balance.
Panel: The Importance of Allies
In order to bring our best selves to work, we need to feel heard and included. By aligning with the right people, you can be supported and enabled in a way you wouldn’t otherwise. In this roundtable, tech leaders discuss how they created relationships that were pivotal in their career and how they now have become an ally themselves.
Panel: Overcoming Impostor Syndrome
As we climb higher in our careers, often there are internalized feelings of self-doubt and that we don’t belong or haven’t earned the right to be where we are. This psychological phenomenon is called Impostor Syndrome and it is believed that approximately 82% of people experience this. In this session we will look at what is impostor syndrome and how we can overcome our own thoughts and feelings.
Panel: Navigating Career Progression & Transitions
You’ve heard the saying before “The only constant in life is change” and our careers are not exempt from this fact. At some point in your career, you will find yourself at a crossroad and ask the question “What direction do I go from here?” This may be taking on a new role in your current field, changing departments or even changing industries all together. During this session we will look at how to successfully navigate some of these progressions and transitions.
