Engineers and Tech Leaders

The guidance. I've been to other Women in Tech events held by other organizations, and after showing up I had no guidance on how to navigate the event/ what I should be taking away from it. The structure of the event, ease of use (application with agenda), and the ways interaction was guided and implemented amongst participants was absolutely amazing. Now going to future events, I have a better understanding of how to network with others and what value I can provide in return to others :)

4 Dynamic Panel Sessions

Technology Leaders Making an Impact

Parent's In Tech: Finding Balance

To many people, one of the most important roles in their lives is that of a parent. Finding the balance between parent and professional is a delicate art that many strive and struggle to master. Hear from other parents in tech as they share their insights, challenges and advice on achieving family/work life balance.

The Executive Path

The path to leadership and the executive suite is never a straight line. Though many have dreams of climbing higher in their careers, a common question is ‘how?’. While there is no one right or wrong answer, during this panel executives will share advice, insights, and personal stories & challenges on the advancement of their own careers. Join in as our panelists discuss what they wish they knew and learned in preparation of becoming a leader.

Finding Mentorship & Guidance

An integral component of continuing to grow, develop and move forward in your career is finding a mentor and proper guidance. Join this panel as we discuss the importance of having the right people in your corner and how to find them. Then have a chance to find a new mentor during the mentor/mentee meet up!

Spotting, Avoiding & Getting Through Burnout

Burnout is when a person feels physically, emotionally and mentally exhausted leading to a sense of reduced accomplishment and loss of personal identity. During this session the panelists will discuss how to spot, avoid and get through burnout.

Overcoming Impostor Syndrome

As we climb higher in our careers, often there are internalized feelings of self-doubt and that we don’t belong or haven’t earned the right to be where we are. This psychological phenomenon is called Impostor Syndrome and it is believed that approximately 82% of people experience this. In this session we will look at what is impostor syndrome and how we can overcome our own thoughts and feelings.
